This is true for all CEOs, regardless of how smart or experienced they are. It’s human nature. The higher up you are in the company the less reality-based feedback you get about what's working financially and what's not working financially.

So as a young accountant back in the late 1980's, I decided there was a niche that wasn't being filled and I made it my mission in life to fill it. It made everyday more fun. It made it more gratifying. It made it more financially rewarding (I love cash flow, remember!).
